An ecosystem called Design

iLeadFarmers.Blog.Design.Pranali.Vichare.UI.UX.website.good.reads.2What does it take to operate a Design department, Graphic Designers? Thats the least of the team you can have, perhaps even representing a mere 50% of your entire department. So, who represents the other 50%?

We are a leading Design and Marketing Communication agency in india, with smashing success for our website, mobile interfaces, web designs, e-commerce interfaces, UI and UX. There is a formula that my agency practices to make our Designs an agency standard, unbeatable and perplexes people on what is it that these people do that others cannot produce.

The answer is in that other 50% of the Design team. My Design team is 50% Graphic Design mavericks and the other 50% is Program Managers, Creative Brand consultants, Marketing experts. This is our flourishing ecosystem at iLeadFarmers with me at the top of the food chain, and all I understand is less of design but 100% of getting business from design and how and what to deliver to which client. Another thing I understand is “Art”, I know the value of art, my father is India’s number one artists, I grew up watching paintings and visiting art expos in Mumbai.

Okay, now what does the other 50% of the team does? Program Manager (PM) is responsible for conversing with clients and getting onto their heads that are imagining a hellish amount of stuff that they feel will be reflected in the designs we give them. The PM bring about a immaculately perfect schedule for the design team to streamline deliverables and break them down into phases. Bottomline- converting the business need of a client into art.

Creative Brand Consultants- Brand story, value props, brand properties, images, themes, aesthetics and artefacts which comes after they have researched, read and seen hundreds and thousand of examples of designs, icons, brand properties, logos, advertisements, print, magazines, websites, UIs………

Marketing guys- research is a very time consuming job, my marketing guys find out everything possible about the client, competitors, industry and provide a technical business acumen to the whole artists aspect to keep it firmly rooted to the ground and reality. Marketing provides an important foundation- Messaging, Story board, Content, Positioning and the Business Value that eventually the design has to deliver.

And then there is me, COO making sure we are all tied together with the same cord called communication.

This is our ecosystem called design, delivering results that make our clients say, “What is it that you do that others cannot”?
